Privacy Policy
Last revised: September 2026
Health information is covered by a separate policy. What we ask about your body, injuries, energy and lifestyle is handled under our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which sets out extra commitments required by Washington State law. This page covers everything else.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you sign up for Sanctuary Letters, complete an inquiry form, or purchase private instruction packages. This includes:
- Contact Details: Full name, email address, and phone number.
- Instruction Intake: Body considerations, movement goals, and session feedback. These are health data and are additionally governed by the separate policy linked above; we collect them only if you tick the consent box on the application form.
- Transaction Records: Payment confirmations handled securely via Stripe. We do not store raw credit card numbers on our servers.
2. How Your Information is Used
Your data is used solely to administer your yoga practice sessions, manage scheduling reminders, process billing, and send our mindful reflections newsletter if subscribed. We never sell, rent, or monetize student information to third parties or advertising networks.
3. Newsletter & Email Communications
When you subscribe to Sanctuary Letters, your email address is processed through our secure newsletter delivery engine. You may opt out of receiving email reflections at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link located at the bottom of every newsletter.
4. Data Security
We implement robust technical and organizational security measures, including SSL/TLS 256-bit encryption for all data in transit, automated database sanitization, and administrative session authentication to safeguard your information.
5. Cookies & Website Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits, so we can see which writing and which offerings people find useful. It sets cookies in your browser to recognise a return visit. We keep what is measured as narrow as we can:
- What is sent: the address of the page you are reading — and, for a journal article, which article it is — along with the general information any website receives, such as the page you arrived from, your approximate location by region, and your browser and device type.
- What is never sent: your name, your email address, your phone number, anything you have told us about your body or your practice, and anything you type into a form. Every other part of a web address is removed before it is reported, so a private link cannot travel with it.
- Where it is never used: your student portal, your private proposal and signing page, and the studio's own admin pages carry no analytics at all.
- Not used for advertising: we do not switch on Google's advertising features, and we do not build advertising audiences or profiles from your visit. As stated in section 2, we do not sell or rent student information.
How to opt out. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal — a setting some browsers offer under privacy, sometimes worded as "tell websites not to share my data" — this site does not count your visit at all. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a tracking blocker; the website works normally either way, and nothing about your practice, your bookings or your payments depends on analytics. Payments themselves are handled by Stripe and are unaffected.
6. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request corrections, or ask for the deletion of your account from our records by contacting sanctuary@soullumos.com.
